How to Run a Partner QBR That Partners Actually Value
Most quarterly business reviews are status meetings partners endure. Here is how to make them sessions partners look forward to.
The QBR Problem
Too many partner QBRs are one-directional status updates. You present numbers, the partner nods, and nothing changes. A great QBR is a planning session, not a report-out.
Lead With Their Goals
Open with the partner's objectives, not yours. When the conversation starts from what they are trying to achieve, everything that follows lands as help rather than homework.
Bring Intelligence They Do Not Have
Show up with fresh account overlap, untapped co-sell opportunities, and benchmarks against similar partners. Insight they cannot get on their own is what makes the meeting worth their time.
End With Commitments
Close every QBR with a short list of mutual commitments and owners. A QBR without next steps is just a meeting.
